ACMI RATES ARE RISING!

During the desperate days at the end of last year we saw Boeing 757s on offer as low as $2300/hr. They have re-bounded and rates are fast closing on $3000/hr.
You couldn't give away Boeing 747-200 freighters last year and the rates reflected this. So far this year we have seen ACMI rates race from $3800/hr to $5000/hr with no depth to the supply market at all. A 30% increase!

Where are the B747-300s for Hajj? Where are the B737-300s & 400s? Or the A320s for Wet lease?

We are seeing the ACMI rates for all types on the rise. This may be due to European summer, but it appears more to do with the number of operators who have ceased trading and the significant number of aircraft parked, mostly never to fly again.
