Atlantic Wings signs agreement with Angolan Air Services to manage the return to service maintenance program on four Dornier 328 jet aircraft.

Atlantic Wings is mandated to market the new Fokker 100 and forthcoming Airbus A310 fleets being acquired by South African specialist Wet Lessor, AirQuarius (Pty) Ltd.

COO Capt. Mark Nel said that their experiences in years of successful operations in Iraq, Afghanistan and in some of the most difficult environments in Africa had only proven what talent and training could achieve. AQU still has a small fleet of Fokker 28s in Iraq, where crews have been based at Baghdad International for over five years.

Capt. Nel says that the F100s will start out doing service during South Africa's 2010 Football World Cup and then will become available for contract work. Already interest is being shown in the West African region. AW wet leasing specialist, Adam Lockhart, is convinced that the A310s in their high density configuration will be perfect for pilgrimages.
