    Derek Meikle has worked in aviation for 20 years, starting with operational roles then moving into a commercial role in 1996 where he was involved in ACMI operations establishing the airline to airline sector for his employer at the time. Since that time Derek has held a number of roles in aircraft leasing and specialises in leasing aircraft in difficult jurisdictions. Derek has worked with a number of airlines from Start up's to well established carriers all over Asia and, having based in Vietnam for some time, knows the markets and its inherent risks.

    The aviation market is changing fast in Asia. New regulations, new attitudes to safety and stricter governance combined with some of the fastest growing economies in the world make this and ideal opportunity for Atlantic Wings to start their venture into this market.

    Atlantic Wings has a wealth of experience in aircraft acquisition and disposal and strategic partnerships with manufacturers, lessors and sources of finance which allow us to offer aircraft and finance facilities, including sale & lease back facilities to airlines in Asia.

    Our SVP-Contracts & Finance, Kevin Callan, with over 25 years of aviation management experience as the CFO of 2 EASA Airlines, operating a variety of aircraft ranging from small turbo-props to a large commercial jets including the Boeing 737 and 757 and the BAe 146 / Avro RJ in scheduled, charter, ACMI and Corporate Contract roles. With British Airways, Ford, Shell, BP, Manchester United and even the Rolling Stones amongst his clients, Kevin understands the demands of the business. The perfect person to head of our Consulting arm, Kevin has been preparing Financial Business Plans for aviation business for over 20 years, including start-ups, an aviation academy and airlines. He prepares the investment schedules prior to purchase for our investing clients and with his operational knowledge is able to arrange consignment spares packages and maintenance budgets.
